Mr. Suren Davitavyan is a junior researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of the RA. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Mathematical Biology and Bioinformatics at Russian-Armenian University. He received his master's and bachelor's degrees in Bioinformatics and Bioengineering at RAU in 2021 and 2020, respectively. Suren has been working at the Bioinformatics Group of the Institute of Molecular Biology National Academy of Sciences of the RA as a Bioinformatic scientist since 2019. In 2021, he took on the role of a lecturer at the Department of Bioinformatics and Bioengineering at RAU. He has been working as a Bioinformatics specialist at BostonGene Corporation since 2022. He has worked as a teaching assistant in Bioscience at the American University of Armenia since 2024. Suren's areas of expertise encompass big biological data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), next-generation sequencing (NGS), cancer study, and genetics. Suren has several publications in different international and local scientific journals, has participated in a series of conferences, and has been awarded the best IT Ph.D. Student of the RA in 2023.
