About the program

FAST Fellowship program supported outstanding PhD candidates of Armenian descent or citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who were (wished to) conducting PhD studies in STEM-related fields at leading universities in Armenia.

The program provided the fellows with financial and institutional resources, allowing them to focus on their research areas and generate scientific breakthroughs, which can boast a bigger impact on the overall economy of the country.

Multiple fellowships were available for current and prospective PhD students and degree-seekers:

  • Full fellowships, each worth annually 7 000 USD
  • Partial fellowships, each worth annually 3 500 USD

Fellowships were awarded an opportunity to apply for an extension to continue the Fellowship program, which depended on the academic progress, and other duties carried out during the year by the fellow.

Career opportunities

During the Fellowship program, FAST provided the fellows with exceptional networking opportunities. The fellows were introduced to the leading Armenian companies and institutes, participated in FAST global initiatives and international events. They were given a chance to propose new frameworks for cooperation with FAST and its partners to kick-start or continue their professional development.
