One of only a few Los Angeles County physicians formally and comprehensively trained in structural heart disease, Dr. Kiramijyan, MD, FACC, FSCAI, has dedicated his life to helping patients with a wide variety of heart conditions. accomplishments have largely been driven by his desire to help others, ranging from providing medical services, directing departments and companies and fundraising for charities. As an integral and renowned figure in his field, Dr. Kiramijyan has taken on several roles with the intent of benefiting others. In 2017, he accepted the positions as interventional cardiologist and director of the structural heart disease program of the Adventist Health White Memorial. In his capacity, he contributes his expertise in interventional cardiology, structural and valvular heart disease and peripheral vascular disease. He recently completed a structural heart disease and advanced interventional cardiology fellowship with the Yale University School of Medicine. ​ In order to help people in the medical field, Dr. Kiramijyan graduated from the University of California with a Bachelor of Science in biology, magna cum laude, in 2003. He continued his education at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Science to receive an MD in 2008. After, he returned to the UCLA for a fellowship and residency in internal medicine. He served as a chief fellow at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center from 2013 to 2014. From there, Dr. Kiramijyan accepted the chief fellowship of interventional cardiology position at MedStar Washington Hospital with Georgetown University. He is certified by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the Medical Board of California, the Washington District of Columbia Department of Health Board of Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Kiramijyan is an active member of his community, providing a number of civic services. He has fundraised for several schools to be rebuilt in Karabakh with Gateway Community Industries Inc. Additionally, he has consulted for the Armenian American Medical Society. He has tutored and instructed for the St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church and The Academy of Music and Fine Arts. Dr. Kiramijyan has been a basketball coach with the YMCA, a director of logistics for The American National Red Cross and provided services for the Armenian Christian Youth Organization and Bread for the City. In 2014, he received the Fellow-of-the-Year Teaching Excellence Award from the Department of Medicine at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
